Bio:

John graduated from Wake Forest. His articles have appeared in The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, Architectural Digest, The New Republic, The Weekly Standard, the Los Angeles Times, and the San Francisco Chronicle. He is completing a book, Rehearsals for a Lead Role: Ronald Reagan in The Hollywood Wars, which was previewed in the Los Angeles Times Magazine in February 2012. John provides the audio commentary, with director Vincent Sherman, for Ronald Reagan: The Signature Collection, a DVD set of several Reagan films, released by Warner Bros.
