Bio:
Read is Associate Professor of Communication at Wheaton College, where he earned the 2011-12 Leland Ryken Teaching Award for Excellence in the Humanities. He earned his Ph.D. In Media Ecology under Neil Postman at New York University. His Phillips Fellowship work, on babies as commodities in the American 90's, was published in Regeneration Quarterly and reprinted in Human Life Review. He is the co-author of Understanding Jacques Ellul (forthcoming from Cascade), editor of the collection, You Do Not Talk About Fight Club, and publisher of the film interpretation site Metaphilm (www.metaphilm.com). He and his wife Rachel have eight children.
