Bio:
of Pinellas Park, FL, is a senior at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he is majoring in Public Relations. Before transferring, he attended St. Petersburg Junior College, where he was elected student body president. At USF, he is College Council President and an effective leader in the Student Senate. USFs newspaper, The Oracle, has identified him as one of the top 10 most influential students at the school. John has been active in College Republicans and various political campaigns in Florida. A diabetic, he has also become known at the national level for his volunteer service with the American Diabetes Association, testifying before Congress in June 2000 on legislation affecting diabetes research and treatment. His goal is to pursue a career in public service, emphasizing the role of individual initiative and achievement without reliance on or interference from government.
