Bio:
Elizabethtown, Ky., is a junior at Georgetown University majoring in government, and is the first member of her immediate family to attend college. She is executive editor of The Georgetown Academy, a journal defending Western political philosophy and Georgetowns traditional Catholic identity, and opposing left-wing dogmas. She won the 2002 Ex Cordia Ecclesia Award for Excellence in Student Journalism. She participates in the College Republicans and programs of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute and Young Americas Foundation, and attended the 2002 and 2003 national Conservative Political Action Conferences. She has served as a research assistant for columnist Robert Novak and an intern for Rep. Ron Lewis (R-KY).
