Bio:

of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, attends the University of Iowa, majoring in finance, marketing and political science. She is a student senator, active in Students for Free Enterprise, the University of Iowa Entrepreneurs Club, the College Republicans, and Women in Politics. She is a member of the Linn County (Iowa) Republican Committee. She founded The Iowa Observer, the alternative student publication at the University of Iowa. She was appointed by the Governor to the state Juvenile Justice Advisory Council in 2000 and by the mayor of Cedar Rapids as a student member of his public advisory council in 2002. She has attended numerous leadership training and development programs and volunteered on several political campaigns.
