Bio:

Des Moines, Iowa, attends Drake University and is majoring in journalism. She is the founder and president of the Network of Enlightened Women (NEW), an alternative to radical feminist groups on campus. She is also involved with Citizens for Tight Borders, a group that educates students about illegal immigration. She has been active in the College Republicans and belongs to the National Rifle Association. She has held editorial positions with Drake Magazine and won a journalism award from the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute, where she also worked as an intern. She was the sponsor of Drakes Conservative Coming Out Day in 2005
