Bio:

Atwater, Calif., is a sophomore majoring in political science at University of California-Merced.   An Eagle Scout and NRA member, he co-founded the first College Republican club at UC-Merced. He has spearheaded such club activities as holding a 9/11 Memorial, a Tax Day Tea Party and a 24-hour public reading of the Obama health care bill. He founded and is executive editor of The Right Side, an alternative student publication.  Michael served as deputy campaign manager for Jack Mobley for Assembly, interned with California State Senator Jeff Denham, and  was co-chair of Merced County for Meg Whitman for Governor.  He has participated in several leadership development programs sponsored by Young America’s Foundation.
