SARAH BROWN
Bio:
Fairbanks, Alaska, is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is a Joseph Wharton Scholar and is pursuing double majors in English and economics. In 2006, she was one of Alaska’s two delegates to the American Legion Girls’ Nation program. She has interned for the late Sen. Ted Stevens (R-AK), the Tanana Chiefs Conference, and the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. She is an award-winning writer and speaker. In 2000, she won the national “How the Harry Potter Books Changed My Life” essay contest, which garnered more than 10,000 entries. She met author J. K. Rowling and appeared on the “Today” show and the “CBS Morning Show.” She is a member of Penn College Republicans.
